St. Joseph’s Convent Senior Secondary School, Hoshiarpur celebrated Independence Day with great patriotic zeal and enthusiasm on 15th August 2026 under the theme “Bharat Ki Udaan 2026-27.”

The celebration began with a Guard of Honour and the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by a prayer dance, “Sacred Steps,” seeking God's blessings for the nation. The dignitaries were warmly welcomed and presented with eco-friendly tokens of honour by Rev. Sr. Sudha, Principal. The school also honoured its distinguished alumni for their achievements.

A vibrant cultural programme showcased the spirit of patriotism through performances such as Women Empowerment, Melodies of Nation, Voice of Freedom, Proud to be an Indian, Echoes of Operation Sindoor, and Celebrating Victory. Students also presented a powerful Mime – “Choose Life, No Drugs” and a thought-provoking Nukkad Natak – “Nasha Mukt Bharat,” spreading awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.

The gathering was inspired by the address of the Chief Guest, Rev. OCD Father Abraham, and the special message delivered by honoured alumnus Mr. Hitesh Puri. A thrilling Karate Performance added excitement to the event.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of patriotism, unity and pride in the nation.
