St. Joseph's Convent Senior Secondary School, Hoshiarpur, under the able guidance of Rev. Sr. Sudha, Principal, organized an Anti-Drug Awareness Rally to sensitize students and the community about the harmful effects of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible life.

The rally was flagged off by Mr. Raj Kumar, IPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Hoshiarpur, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his address, he emphasized the need for collective efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society and encouraged students to become ambassadors of awareness in their families and communities.

Students participated enthusiastically, carrying banners and placards displaying impactful anti-drug messages and raising slogans advocating a drug-free society. Adding significance to the campaign, the students also presented a Nukkad Natak (street play) highlighting the devastating consequences of drug addiction on individuals and families. Through their powerful performance, they effectively conveyed the message of prevention, awareness, and social responsibility.

The rally passed through nearby areas, attracting the attention of the public and encouraging community participation in the anti-drug movement. Teachers, school authorities, and police officials appreciated the students for their dedication and active involvement in spreading awareness.

The programme concluded with a pledge by the students to stay away from drugs and to contribute towards building a healthy, safe, and drug-free society. The event proved to be a meaningful step towards creating awareness and inspiring positive social change.
